Where Collective Care Begins
The Holistic Hive proudly offers inclusive and intersectional services, welcoming everyone who shows up with love, care, and commitment to their families and communities. Whether as parents, partners, caregivers, or supporters, all roles are vital in keeping the hive strong.
Each person brings something beautiful: the steady hands, the open hearts, and the quiet strength that hold everything together and make life a little sweeter.
We honor every member of the hive because healing, growth, and care are built together. Without each person’s strength and wisdom, there is no hive. There is no "us."

We do not discriminate based on race, color, national origin, age, disability, sex (including pregnancy), sexual orientation, or gender identity. Everyone who enters our hive is met with respect, dignity, and compassion — because every individual deserves to feel seen, valued, and welcome.

Why Bees?
Inspired by Hive Life
We take our name and philosophy for our collective from bees because we are inspired by their social structure, community, sustainability, and resilience.
We believe that genuine systemic change thrives in warm and supportive environments. We cultivate vibrant communities of care, where we uplift and inspire one another, embracing collaboration over competition.

Bees have held space in myths and legends in a
variety of cultures since time immemorial.
Celtic
Bees are symbols of community and harmony, and they are often regarded as members of the family. The phrase "telling it to the bees" refers to the tradition of sharing significant events in one’s life with the bees in the fields. This custom highlights the special relationship between people and bees in Celtic culture.
Ancient Greece
In ancient Greek society (2000-300 BC), bees and honey were significant symbols. Bees were often associated with knowledge, health, and power.
Africa
According to Raymond Huber, the Bushmen of the Kalahari Desert tell a creation story about a kind bee. One night, Mantis needed to cross a flooded river and asked Bee for help. She carried Mantis on her back but struggled against strong winds. Spotting a magnificent flower in the water, Bee dropped Mantis onto it and then fell beside the flower, dying from exhaustion. When the sun rose, the first human being emerged from the flower, a testament to Bee’s sacrifice.
Slavic
In Slavic folklore, bees were thought to have the ability to communicate with both humans and the gods. They were admired for their wisdom and their capacity to comprehend human speech. It was believed that bees would share their secrets with those who listened closely, and their buzzing was seen as a form of language that could be understood by individuals with the right knowledge or intuition.
Native American
In Native American mythology, bees are frequently featured in cautionary tales that emphasize the importance of respecting nature. They are depicted as fierce warriors, capable of defending themselves against much larger foes. Thus, underestimating their strength is considered foolish.
